Connecting the FT232RL programmer to electronic modules.

USBDM Programmer is used in the USBDM program function. This function is designed to read and reprogram the entire flash memory of the MC9S08GB60 and MC9S08GB60A microcontrollers from the FREESCALE manufacturer, which are installed in the electronic modules of the ARCADIA 1 series, as well as in some refrigerators and kitchen appliances.

A USBDM device is used as a programmer.

This section discusses the connection of the programmer to the microcontroller, as well as examples on the most common electronic modules.

To work, you will need to connect four wires from the programmer to the microcontroller, see the figure below.

Pinout of the microcontroller MC9S08GB60 / MC9S08GB60A 64-pin (washing machines, ovens, refrigerators):

Pinout of the cable that comes with the USBDM device:

Pinout of the microcontroller MC9S08GB60 / MC9S08GB60A 44-pin (LIPETSK CLEVER OUT board, refrigerator):

Recommended to perform this cable according to the SPP scheme with colored wires and clamps for a more convenient connection:

It is not so important how to connect to the microcontroller on the PCB, although directly to the legs, but this is not convenient. It is better to track where the tracks lead from the desired legs and solder the wires to the test points or to larger parts on the PCB.

Connection examples.

Examples of connections to boards (SPP connector is used)

Washing machine with ARCADIA 1 boards (SW 01.03.09, 01.04.03, 01.04.06, 01.04.09, 01,04,13, 02.00.10).

Power can be supplied to the service connector. In this case, the power jumper on the programmer must be set to 5 volts.

Refrigerator (SW 01.03.02).

Power can be supplied to the capacitor. In this case, the power jumper on the programmer must be set to 5 volts.

Refrigerator with LIPETSK CLEVER PCB (SW 11.00.11)

Power is supplied to the capacitor. In this case, the power jumper on the programmer must be set to 5 volts.
